WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 — THE DIGITAL CANVAS
6:00pm | Mad Arts, 481 South Federal Highway, Dania Beach
The festival launches at Mad Arts with The Digital Canvas, an evening of groundbreaking short films created with artificial intelligence. Filmmakers explore bold new approaches to storytelling, imagination, technology and creativity while offering audiences a glimpse at how AI is expanding the possibilities of filmmaking.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5 — OPENING NIGHT: SHORTS IN PARADISE
Opening Night brings a taste from the far-side of the world to Savor Cinema with Shorts in Paradise, a festive Polynesian-themed celebration presented in partnership with the legendary Mai-Kai.

Filmmakers and movie lovers come together for tropical flair, island-inspired entertainment and festival fun before the evening’s films. The celebration continues following the screening.

6:15pm | Opening Night Films
The Opening Night lineup ranges from the directorial debut of a local 11-year-old filmmaker to films featuring Hollywood veterans Oscar nominee Lesley Ann Warren (Victor/Victoria, Clue, Desperate Housewives), Thomas Ian Griffith (The Karate Kid Part III, Cobra Kai) and four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. The program concludes with the debut of a documentary celebrating the 70-year history of the Mai-Kai, one of South Florida’s most iconic destinations.

8:30pm | Strange Encounters
The evening takes a darker turn with a thrilling collection of science fiction, fantasy and, of course, horror shorts from across the USA. Expect imaginative worlds, supernatural surprises, dark visions and plenty of unexpected encounters.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6 — MIXED REELS & COMEDY

6:00pm | Mixed Reels #1
Expect the unexpected with an eclectic collection spanning comedy, drama, suspense and beyond, showcasing bold filmmakers, unforgettable characters and surprising stories.

7:30pm | “Nibbles & Giggles”Drink specials, lite bites and an opportunity to meet with the filmmakers featured in “The Comedy Club” film screenings.  Included with your tickets to “The Comedy Club”

If you’re looking for serious, stay away. The festival turns up the laughs with a collection of some of its funniest shorts, hosted by comedian Cindy-Ann Boisson.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 — DOCUMENTARIES & MIXED REELS

12:30pm | “Afternoon Nosh” – Start the full day of films with some pastries and other sweets. Included with your tickets to “Life Unscripted”

1:00pm | Life Unscripted
Real-life stories take center stage in a documentary program that journeys from Vaudeville to beyond the stars. Special guest Dr. Story Musgrave, retired NASA astronaut, will join the festival.

6:30pm | “The Final Pour” – Drink Specials and some munchies to give a chance to wind down after the long day of films and meet some of the filmmakers joining us form around the globe. FREE with your tickets to “Mixed Reels #4”

Drama, romance, suspense and more collide in a lively collection celebrating imaginative storytelling and the wonderfully unpredictable world of independent films from the USA and around the globe.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8 | REEL SUNSHINE
The festival closes by turning the spotlight toward home with films made in and about Florida. From compelling documentaries and thought-provoking stories to plenty of laughs, this diverse lineup celebrates the creativity and filmmaking talent found throughout the Sunshine State.

Four programs showcase an exciting mix of Florida-produced short films, with special attention given to filmmakers and stories from Broward County. The day also features a filmmaker panel discussion and a closing Florida celebration.
